My Internet Marketing Journey
I wanted to put this post out there first and foremost….
I am not a guru, I am not a highly successful internet marketers, I don’t make a ton of money online and I don’t pretend to be.
Yes, I’m made a couple bucks online, here and there but I haven’t been able to consistently do it on a regular basis. So back to the basics!!!
Here’s what I’ve tried in the past:
- Amazon Review Site
- Adsense Sites
- Affiliate Marketing (promoting Clickbank products)
- Membership site (Got 25 people to the site, no memberships)
- Youtube Video Marketing(using legit ways and not so legit ways to get views)
- And bought many, many WSO’s from the Warrior Forum and never followed through with any of them.
Not the ideal model of a successful internet marketer.
So here’s where I start over, start from scratch and try to do things the “right way”, if there is such a thing. Here’s what I’ve realized last night while thinking about what I’m doing wrong…..buying “stuff” whether it’s WSO’s, Clickbank products, WordPress plugins, automation software or anything else “Internet Marketing” makes you feel good. It makes you feel like you’re doing something.
“This is it!!! This will be the course that shows me how to make money online”
Then you start to go through the course, wow, this is a long course. This is going to take a lot of time, but I don’t want to wait a lot of time, I want it right now. So what do we do, we try to skim through the product, only watch the last couple videos because we already know the simple stuff. Then we jump in, throw up some website that we don’t know how to setup properly, start throwing crap against the wall and start expecting to see 1,000 people a month just start flocking to the site. And guess what, we look at our Google analytics account, just hoping to see the incoming traffic starting to grow and NOTHING!!!!
So again, this is where I start over again. Probably no one will see this post but if anyone does, here is what this blog is going to be all about.
- Re-learn the fundamentals of Internet Marketing
- Learn/find my area of Expertise
- Interact with others in the Internet Marketing field
- Share what I learn here on this blog

Well you have a sad story, but I can certainly believe your frustration…. I am almost where you are, maybe you are ahead of me!
I spend every day trying to delete email that pours in – my gmail account was what I gave out for free offers, that is now over 2000 unread emails, so hopeless (but I need to save all of the free ‘Niche of the Day’ emails!).
My main email account was where my PalPal email sent purchases from Clickbank a year ago, then I unsubscribed from those after becoming wasted watching 22 minute videos day after day… until I discovered the low priced WSO, and then left town for a week at Christmas. I never recovered. 20 emails a day and it was over 300 waiting for me. Then over 350 as I spent all day deleteing after reading … oh and the latest thing are Webinars for 2 hours every other day (except 4 today and 2 tomorrow).
I even forgot to renew my domain names in Feb. Now I have it down to 333 emails and it is time to do taxes.
Oh and I really would like to watch the dozens of videos on my hard drive, why skip to the end. If only I had time to start at the beginning I could learn to do it right.

That’s funny you talk about going through and deleting a bunch of emails, I just finished yesterday going through deleting almost 3000 emails out of an account that I wanted to start using again. So I feel your pain.
