Spencer Haws Adsense Ban Follow-up

Spencer Haws Getting Adsense Banned

Alright, I’ve had some more time to think and dig for more information on Spencer Haws Adsense Banning. I am really bummed, because Spencer seems to be legit and would put together crap sites just for the sake to have something up. I have used his products like Long Tail Pro(which is a pretty cool tool) and I’m about to start using his Welcome Splash plugin on some of my other sites, so I think he put outs good stuff.

So anyways…..

Here is a screen shot of his Adsense Banning post on his site Nichepursuits.com, where he explains what happened and he gives his thoughts on the Google Slap.

(Sorry, I’m not great at adding perfect screen shots yet.)

If you notice the date of his post, April 16th, 2012 and also in his post he mentions that the Adsense Ban happened last week, which would made the ban happen sometime I’m guessing around April 8th – April 14th. The reason I think these dates are important is because of the blog post I found on Google Webmaster Blog dated April 11th, 2012. Which in this post, Google fellow, Amit Singhal talks about how Google has changed their algorithm a month ago for US based sites and on Monday, April 11th, these implemented these same changes to all English-language Google users.

Here’s the part of the post that I found interesting and where I think it relates to Spencer Haws and his army of Niche websites

In addition, this change also goes deeper into the “long tail” of low-quality websites to return higher-quality results where the algorithm might not have been able to make an assessment before.

How I’m reading this is Google had a flaw in its algorithm and how it was ranking “long tail” keywords. So if you were building many niche websites based on long tail keywords, like Spencer was doing, you were going to be able to rank pretty quickly and easily with some thin sites(sites that have under 5-10 pages of content). Which we all knew probably wasn’t going to last forever.

Spencer also mentions in his post about some other guys that focus on building many micro-niche sites like he does, got their Adsense accounts banned too.

They are:

  • Zac Johnson- account banned March 17th, 2012
  • Ghauer Chaudhry- account banned March 17th, 2012
  • Eric @ My4hrworkweek- account banned March 16th, 2012
  • Mark Peeters- account banned back in January 2012

I thought Mark gave some good insights on some things that Google probably doesn’t like and might help you from getting your adsense account banned too.

So as Forrest Gump would say “And that’s all I have to say about that”, that’s all I have to say about that, until next time…………..

Please Give Me Your Input, tell me I right, tell me I’m wrong, tell me I’m a complete idiot, just tell me something!!!!!
